We are guys! Strong opinions of how our ladies should be treated is just how God made us. Why do you think TSA agents have to be careful when a husband and wife are standing together? We demand our ladies receive proper treatment.

Well, to be honest it isn't so much other guys wives and daughters, but people better keep their hands off of mine!

Now as for my son, HE better watch out for the type of 'dad' that I would be like when trying to date!

Your exaggerated posts make you funny.

However, I respect that in reality, Holy Ghost filled men demand respect for the women in their lives. Carry on....

I've never been in a church where we were told to date in the immediate church setting. Saved, was the general standard.

It was all about attendance. Men were allowed and even encouraged to date outside the four walls because it was assumed if they married they would bring a wife into the congregation, but women, not so much.

Re: Dating Guidelines

I didn't see so much wrong with what was written as the minimum guidelines - except for the fact that the pastor needed either a good proof-reader (if he typed it) - or a secretary that didn't make so many mistakes.

Some of my posts are exagerated, but it was done for effect. A male who wishes the designation of man should treat all women with respect, and encourage others to do the same.

I do agree with your post. Btw, thanks for saying that I can be amusing.

Re: Dating Guidelines

There really are a couple viewpoints here to consider. Personally I think the guidelines make sense. Naturally, if parents really did their job, the pastor would not need to make such a common sense appeal - but sadly with saved and unsaved folks alike, many parents fail to do their job, and the pastor is trying to head off possible heartach and pain in the future.

So I can see both sides here. For me personally, I reserve the right to make the decisions in my home, and in most cases it may be ever more strict then these guidelines.

Having said that, do alot of Apostolic pastors feel that anyone outside of Apostolica is considered "unequally yoked", or is it just strictly a rule for mixing with a sinner? I ask that question mainly because even in the Apostolic church their are loose people. I have heard of many horror stories with church lock-ins etc.
