I've heard those diesel Mercedes are pretty good cars. In fact, most of the really old ones I see on Ebay are diesels. I have heard that the vacuum system on them, which controls just about everything, can be a serious pain to deal with.

EVERYTHING on this car is a pain to deal with - you HAVE to use Mercedes brand parts for the silly little things like headlight bulbs - or it WONT WORK....

it has a mind of its on - it turns the radio down (or off) when it wants - we cant figure how why or how....

I could go on and on....

but man - will it fly.

I've gotten 4 tickets in the last 4 months...*evil laugh*

it will run I tell ya - it will run.... That I WILL miss. It's like butter at 120mph - literally.

I almost bought a Chrysler once with the same radio devil. Took it on a test ride and all of a sudden the radio turned on and a minute or so later, shut off again. Did this repeatedly during the entire test drive. Thought I had entered the Twilight Zone! LOL

Try to look at the bright side. The Lord is probly trying to get you to see the error of your ways so you will buy a Ford next. Well, maybe Lincoln.

If it's any consolation, I ran over a coon once in a Grand Marquis and it busted the radiator, from underneath... Only thing it did to the outside that was visible was flake a big chunk of paint off the plastic bumper, but from below it somehow busted the radiator and junk.
