Ok, but I could dig up some verse that testifies to the opposite, also--these should be understood in context.

Re: What Do People Think About Christians?
Many Christians think they are being persecuted because they are a christian. In reality, many christians act like the southbound end of a mule.

Re: What Do People Think About Christians?
I think the peoples answers in the video were based in ignorance. I think most non-Christians opinions of Christians are based on:
1) The bad apples. Those who claim to be Christian but have no clue to what a Christian walk is. Or..
2) A natural reaction to the conviction they resist when confronted with the truth of their need for rejuvenation, then blaming God and Christians for all the problems of the world.

Re: What Do People Think About Christians?
All those people are ignorant?
Nice screen name. Speaking of pilgrims - I wonder why those pilgrims left their homes to come to a new place. I wonder why it was felt that the very first words in the bill of rights address religion.
Christianity, unchecked, has been historically proven to be a dangerous thing. Maybe those on the street who you call ignorant have awareness of this.

Re: What Do People Think About Christians?
To be fair to all, it should be realized
and admitted that any stronghold for God
will be relentlessly attacked by satan.
The term "a Christian" has deliberately become
so diluted as to be meaningless, and you can be assured
that any other religion that is as close or closer to God
is also being relentlessly attacked.
One may recognize the Bride of Christ as
necessarily being completely free of such labels, "Christian" included.

Yes, ignorant to what being a Christian (or being part of the bride of Christ or whatever terms you choice) is really all about. You can't know that from the outside looking in.
1) Again their perspectives are obscured by all of the false pretenses of Christianity out there.
2) The preaching of the cross is foolishness to those that perish.
Christianity is dangerous to Satan's purposes. The Jews crucified Jesus because He was dangerous to them.

Re: What Do People Think About Christians?
I am puzzled now. You are saying, for instance, that, say, lemme think, Galileo was doing the work of satan? Christianity was pretty dangerous in this example to one who simply believed that the earth rotated the sun.
He was tried by the Inquisition, found "vehemently suspect of heresy", forced to recant, and spent the rest of his life under house arrest
Good work (by the church) dude. Except.......wasnt he right? LOL......

Re: What Do People Think About Christians?
The word christian started out as a derogatory term. The equivalent to a racial slur. A person's life should be lived in a way that doesn't leave any question if Jesus is Lord.
I usually avoid people who go overboard with honk if you love Jesus, send this picture back to me if you love Jesus. Jesus isn't looking for cheap gimmicks. All you have to do is love people. That's the sign you are a disciple of Christ. That's in the book.

Re: What Do People Think About Christians?
Very succinct and clever reply dude
Thankfully (best john wayne version of "pilgrim") I wont be tried for this, convicted of heresy, forced to recant, and spend my natural life under house arrest LOL
