IMO there is a deep divide between being wrong about something or innocently misinterperting a few scriptures and making up lies to elevate oneself to the stature of the only prophet on earth for this time, blah, blah... I am pretty open to those who have different theological views but not to those who are making attempt to be my (or anyone elses) god.

Ah; I have never listened to Branham. I can confess to similar feelings, whenever I get some new revelation, and see it as a chief stumbling-block in a Christian walk--

Get some new knowledge due to focusing on humility,
for like a year; become holier-than-thou due to new knowledge,
and thus become useless for another year; repeat until I wise up.

But, making up lies? Ya, that would

William Branham was a destroyer. I suppose early on he was truly anointed. But at some point he became the center of his own universe instead of God.

The man fell into damnable heresy and ruined the lives of many. This guy caused families to be torn apart. And now we want to somehow suggest that he may (may) have been right about something?

I am sorry but every preacher I know has at some point in time suggested that God will accomplish his own will, with or without those of us who claim to be his. I certainly have. What Branham said is not unique, different, or even an interesting take on the subject. The man was a heretic who caused thousands to lose their way. He became an instrument of SATAN. I know this because I have dealt with the fallout of it personally. I’ve listened to tapes and my spirit responded to the subtlety of the deception. I have people close to me who nearly lost their way because of this man and it took a great deal of care and prayer for them to find their path thru.

There are some things you just do not do. Giving credence to this particular false prophet who claimed of himself that he was John the Baptist come back to life, and that he would rise from the dead is one of those things you just simply do not ever do.
