Re: Is Contemporary Worship Wrong ?

I think it's important to note that "worship" need not be related to music. It can be a form of exaltation through prayer, meditation, reading, studying, witnessing, working, and mundane things like gardening, house keeping, and fishing.

Not with me Ferd, I know where you stand. You are a strict Water and Spirit guy. I respect that you don't waiver, but with that being said I think you are as wrong as all the little Apostolic girls going to a Jeremy Camp concert.

(by the way, I have taught Purpose Driven Life in SS).

While i dont care when the wrong are more wrong, I have no issue using good material regardless of its source.

I think somebody should get a burden for promoting Gospel Polka music. A very under utilized genre of music.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

Whoopie John is known to have come out with more than one deep spiritual tune.

Yup. We sing one of those at church that I am a little uncomfortable with.

I have said some of those songs sound like they were written as love songs by a writer who then when he couldn't sell them as that decided to make them praise and worship songs with Jesus replacing the boyfriend / girlfriend.
