I also see TV commercials for a group made up of major pharmeceutical companies who have a program to help the elderly who can't afford drugs. I can't think of the name of the group but will try to find it and post.

Also don't forget that the evil giant Wal Mart offers a boadload of generic prescription meds at four bucks for a 30 day supply.

I pay more with my precription plan co pay for one or two of these at Walgreens than if I just didn't use my insurance and got them at Wal Mart paying myself.

this is a strict list of drugs....and if your dosage is out of what they consider ordinary they won't honor it at that price.

No doubt the list does not include the high priced speciality drugs. Still it is a tremendous blessing for folks who need ordinary prescription drugs.

I have printed out the list and looked at it and there are many widely used and effective drugs on it for a great variety of medical conditions.

Folks requiring expensive medication with no generic versions available should seek out the aid groups from the phameceutical companies themselves or their state govt.

Pharma Co are sticklers on who they help. I've found one that will help those who are Med D elegible. I deal with every Pharma Co that has PAP.

Yes Walmart is good to a certain population. In my program what we have found is that, one Walmart(s) are 15 miles from here. So we would then have to incorporate a transportation program.

Keep in mind I do not deal with Med.D. folks only the medically indigent. With the price of gas a lot of them will opt to use the pharmacy that is 2 blocks from us.
