Re: Needing church recommendations, Louisville KY
There are LOTS of churches in Louisville, it can be very tedious trying to find a church when there are many to visit. I thought there might be someone out there who could direct us to a place like what I'm trying to describe. PAW is known to be less staunch, I dont think anyone could criticize my very anointed, godly PAW pastor from another town, or the people in that church. They are modest and believe in a Christian lifestyle and in my opinion that is sufficient. In my experience people are less prone to throw stones over stupid stuff that is none of their business anyway when the environment is less conducive to the nit picking.
I am please requesting no snide comments about standards or "what kind of a person actually wants a church like that", etc. There are many threads on AFF I am sure on standards debates, so you can have at it there, please refrain here. If you don't have a legit suggestion there is no need to comment here. Thanks so much.

Re: Needing church recommendations, Louisville KY
The laid back pastor is in SoCal, Orange County. Lots of people who attend look like your typical UPC standards, those who don't don't and you never heard a thing about it. The pastor didn't criticize and browbeat about it, so guess what, the church people didn't either. He is a wonderful pastor. He wasn't a control freak, let's just say that. His general personality temperament didn't lend to it.

You do YOU and be happy with your church thing. No need to be a smart alec to others when they just asking for simple suggestions.
Again, the only comments should be "Check out ____ church" .
Thank you so much

Very talented pastor and wife, but they wanted to "reach" more people.
So, the walls of separation were taken down.
It grieves me to think about it.
Lots of good memories around him and his family.

I'm not their judge, that's God's job, but yeah, they've taken it too far for my taste. I have to agree with you on that. I would never say a judgement on them though, because I feel that's a dangerous, presumptious thing to do to God's children. I will just say it wasn't my cup of tea.

Maybe read your post in our shoes or sandals. Your asking for recommendations on churches in a certain city, that isn’t big on standards. And you give us an example of the previous church you attended. Like Bro. Benincasa said why ask this of complete strangers? Whatever happened to allow the spirit to led me? Have you prayed about which church to go to? You can even google “church's” in your area and go to each church until you find what you desire. Your going to get sarcasm when you post what your trying to find with certain “conditions” attached to it.

So I shouldn’t have created my thread asking about 2 churches in NW Arkansas?
There are people here from different parts of the country... or have visited all over. It is possible that someone may be familiar with a church in the area as she has described.
Just because what she described isn’t [y]our cup of tea doesn’t mean that she shouldn’t ask.., or that people should respond with snide remarks.

Good for you friend. You have made your clearly spiritual superiority known., when I simply asked for a church suggestion. People have way too much time on their hands. There are many threads on AFF to satiate your need for such comments, just please refrain here.

Re: Needing church recommendations, Louisville KY
Some people have too much time on their hands, with no peace in their hearts so what better outlet than to get on various threads and make snide remarks. Peace to you brother. Move along. Not engaging in it.
