Read Psalms 91for a start. You seem to think the OT is relevant. 
Then try Ezekiel 9.
The righteous can be AFFECTED in ways but preserved in the midst.

I would not want to be the one to look into the eyes of a dying OP brother and tell him and his family theyre on the receiving end of a judgment of God.

Would God judge a nation for its sins such as for example abortion, sodomy, porn, and such like? Have you ever said judgment could come to a nation (including America) because of these things?
Has your Pastor ever mentioned judgment could come to America because of sin? Practically every Preacher I have ever heard who preaches holiness has said the same thing.
But if it happens or at least SEEMS to be happening then they draw back and say its not God its just chance.

That's what I find interesting about modern day prophets. They always have weasel clauses embedded in their prophecies.
Not many make declarative proclamations anymore.
