How offensive to have a Democrat lead the trial who will also cast a vote. And why is John Roberts not presiding? Because Trump isn’t the President.
The Senate has no Constitutional right to try a Civilian. God help us all.

Leaky Leahy shouldn't be allowed to cast a vote if he's presiding over the trial. Period. You cannot be an "unbiased" Judge while at the same time serve as a Juror who will determine guilt or innocence. I wish the GOP had a spine and threatened to walk if this continues.
Glad Rand Paul is pushing the point of order to force a vote and get people on the record for/against the constitutionality of the process.
Trump is gone. The impeachment trial is to garner a verdict, whether to acquit or find guilty. If he's found guilty, they can't remove him from office because he's already out of the office.
And if their end game is to try to pass a bill to ban Trump from running in 2024, I don't see how it will hold up in court.
