A missionary from Russia flew back to America to visit family a couple years ago. A couple days into his visit, he stated we have more liberty in Russia than you have in America. Times have changed rapidly.

Does anyone here know how many nato countries are already on the Russian border. Does anyone here remember Crimea from 2014?
Russia isn’t doing this because of potential missiles in Ukraine. That’s just some grade A propaganda by the Russians to weaken American support for actions against them.
Russia isn’t in ukraine as a peace keeping force. That’s more propaganda.
The reason Ukraine wanted to be in NATO was because of russias historical hostilities toward the Eastern European countries - especially those that were former members of the Soviet Union.

What? That doesn’t sound right at all.
Anyway…. We had the missionary to Russia last week. He said that the state church is very hostile toward any other religion. It is illegal to preach and witness to people.

Recently I could understand.
Yet, they had a religious freedom law that recognized four religions as the traditional religion in Russia. The first I believe was Christianity, Islam, and two others I can't remember.
It's currently illegal to evangelize outside church, you can preach and have liberty to do so, yet not without the walls.
