“I cared not where or how I lived, or what hardships I went through, so that I could but gain souls to Christ.” David Brainerd
We are so thankful for your life.... Being behind us here in Brazil and supporting us in prayers and financially. Please know that you are in our prayers also we love and appreciate the many sacrifices on our behalf.
I have often said that one of the greatest secrets of missionary work is work!
We are buying the wood and used tiles and other needed things to cover the shed we are building for our backhoe so it will not sit out in the weather and especially the rain. This is a step by faith! We must have it to protect God's gift to the farm work and as many know it is old so we must do our very best to take care of what God gives us and believe if we do this God will give us more machinery in time. We always want to be good stewards to the things God leads to us. I figure the tiles and other things will cost around 1000 dollars perhaps a little more as we I ordered paint to also paint the tiles...If you can help us in any way, we would deeply appreciated it and I know God would be pleased. As always, I will get pictures for all to see what we are doing with your help and the help of our Lord.
Just as soon as rainy season is over, we plan to start clearing the land for the “Cassava House project. This will probably be one of the biggest projects we have ever worked on! It is a faith project as the machinery is very expensive and we will need a BIG miracle to accomplish it but we feel this is what God wants us to do. We want to help feed not only hundreds but thousands of people and open doors for the preaching of the gospel. As it has been said it is almost impossible for people to listen to the preaching of the gospel if they are hungry. The Cassava project will help us feed people naturally and spiritually.
I pray that as we work forward full speed ahead, we do desire your prayers and once again we are very thankful for any help in missions.
I deeply love the Brazilian people, and this has been my life!
The etymology of the word compassion stems from the Latin com meaning "with, together" and the
Latin pati "to suffer." Compassion literally means to suffer with. That is our mission here! Because of this, we want to lessen someone else’s suffering and hunger. I always remember where Jesus let us know He was hungry…
Amy Carmichael, Missionary to India once said: “You can give without loving. But you cannot love without giving.”
What joy we have in serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! God has been gracious and merciful to us, and we have no words to thank Him for what He has done in our lives and in His work!
Until He comes for us, we will work in His fields:
