I doubt if one group was any more pro-women preacher than the other.

Actually I think her name was sister Marlin. Here is a trivia question.
What former UPC HQ official got married at a camp meeting in Oregon, probably in the 50's? Hint, it was in Bend.

From what I knew of Hazel Simpson, Millington, TN, she was a fine pastor.
I personally would never put myself under a woman pastor.

Thank the Lord for anyone that has furthered the cause of Christ.
We live in a world where people constantly change not usually because of conviction but peer pressure...
I recieved a gift from an old preacher that I could never mention his name on a forum that told me before he died he was sorry for the things he had said about women preachers and gave me a book written by a woman preacher...or maybe it was a life story of a woman preacher ...long time ago...however he signed his name on the front cover and dedicated it to me...
The meaning of why he gave the book to me is precious...and his secret way of telling me, I believe in you...No one but my husband knows this...not even his children...He told me shortly before he passed away he was sorry he had been so hard...
I was never offended whether he called on me or not...I settled the "feeling" thing long ago. Man has nothing to do with a call that is a burning passion in my heart.
My call has not been a bed of roses but like the early christians of old where men and women went everywhere preaching the gospel that is what I too have done my best to do on the mission field.
My ideal of preaching the gospel is different from most however no man that I have helped to save from sin´s gutter ever turned against me. No leper ever rebuked me for coming Sunday after Sunday to their colony, no witchdoctor that converted thought it wrong of me for telling the story of Jesus.
Most that know me know I have serious problems with my legs and bones so tonight I am home alone tonight. I was not able to get out in the hard rain for fear I would fall.
Our son and his family (one of them!) left on their long journey moving to the jungle. It was so hard to tell them goodby yet I deeply understand the buring call of God.
We love all our children but this son and wife have lived with us or next to us every since they married. His 2 children we have helped raise. Sabrina their oldest is 12...time flies and passes us by... However there are other sons here right by our side helping us and have promised to fill the gap.
Then we have our blood son in south Brazil with others that stayed down there...So many that are working in God´s work.
Well, I have wandered off the subject...way off...
It is like the post Sherri wrote about missionaries in Africa. The needs on the mission field are so great that you are just thankful for all those that come in the name of the Lord.

I figured you would agree with me on this one regardless of justification for or against.

this is off the subject once again but I don´t think titles really matter to the CALLED ones...
