Thanks, everyone, for your input on this.
I'm almost left with the impression that the TV issue is more of an "issue" here on AFF than it is in real life. Whatcha think? Am I way off on that???

I think that's true.

Though I do know of disagreement in the MO district, I know of no fallout - as in churches pulling out or any such moves.

It's the only one I know of. I visited not long ago. Nice folks for UCs. If you ever go, take your ear plugs. Somebody really likes to hear himself preach.
If someone bothers you about it, tell you can still hear with plugs just fine and that you are thinking about earmuffs on top of plugs to get it down to a pleasant audible level.
Next time I go we will be using plugs, no offense, though I'm sure our 'spirit' will be discerned openly. I'll say thank you and offer the dB level that I've taken.
If we are against smoking because it harms the temple, how much more so should we guard our hearing for the same reason? That reminds me...I wanted to start a thread on this.

I think she is absolutely right. Being born and raised in NYC, from what I know of the NE region, they don't care. Most everyone has TV's up there anyway. Any I mean EVERYONE.

That reminds me of the evangelist who commented about how full the church was for the revival...
"Praise the Lord for a packed out house this morning!"

Agree 100%
People are having more of a fit over other people having a fit, than anyone is realy having an issue with the situation.
