Oh, come on! Thad is not "truly, genetically" half black as far as I know...but some of the best church musicians in the country...no, in the world are black...Thad is a fantastic organist, thus my insinuation that it must be in his blood!!!! It's only racist if you think it would be an insult to be half-black.
Disclaimer: I KNOW that we all have the same "blood", so please don't feel the need to clarify that to me.

So it wouldn't be a racist comment in any way if someone were to say ... Wow he sure can play basketball..He must be half black....

It is not being a racist to acknowledge that Black men seem to ahve certain genetic advantages on the basketball court.
It is in fact willfull ignorance to insist otherwise.

Uhhhhhhhhhh GENETIC advantage? (I think I'll just move along rather than comment on that one)
But... to answer your question....Dunno... you would have to ask some of the people that I have seen who find these comments offensive.
The comment only exists because of racial stereotyping.
But... as it is clear that the concensus holds that I am totally wrong I will digress.
