Christian believes what he believes. It is made up of years of learning from everyone he has ever met. He retains everything he reads, never preached from notes. He has taken it all and came up with something of his own. It is love, love, love. And whatever is on his mind for the time being. really

You have to understand something about Christian. He is, and always has been, in a category all his own. He fits no certain stereotype. He was only conservative because that is where he ended up through a chain of events. He just blows with the wind. He was not mean because he was Apostolic. He was a mean Baptist and AG. He was still mean when he was preaching grace. He is beginning to come to terms with who he is deep down inside and trying to change all that. He has been his own God and voice of reason for his entire life and that's why at each crossroad of his life he can justify what he decides to do at that time. His purpose in life has been to convince everyone who hears his voice to agree with him. Just read his blogs and you will see it is still there. His mom, who raised him, of course, refuses to believe he has been gay since 14. I do know he has decided he is. So that is what he is for now. Tomorrow? Who knows. Please hear my tone of voice is very very sad. Not condemning. You know, in all his meaness, he never meant to hurt, just convert. I

Have you ever seen debates change anyone's mind, Bro. E.? I'm being serious, not sarcastic. It seems that the debates I've heard - both sides have their minds made up and no one seems to budge. Have you seen fruit from it? Just curious.

D.L. Welch baptized many because of his debates. Bishop S,C. Johnson baptized hundreds in his debates always took a tank with him. I debated a Congregational Holiness pastor once and him and his whole congregation was rebaptized. In a debate with a Campbellite a Campbellite family saw the truth and started attending a Pentecostal church in their area.

I'd say this is a good summary.

I believe he did have a disagreement over doctrine with my Dad, and that was why my Dad didn't have him back to preach, which he (my Dad) was pretty sad about. He felt that he couldn't have CG back. He never told me exactly what it was over.

Well, that's awesome and I'm glad to hear some good reports. I've always kind of had a negative feeling about debates. Hopefully I've been wrong!

OH MY!!! I have to respond to this. I just hate the fact that in this new way of talking it is hard to hear the tone of voice we are speaking in. I know your family too well to ever think you would dislike him for decorating you car but you have to admit he was a pain. His own mama always says, "a little bit of chris goes a long way." I just hated his knack for pratical jokes. He knew this and of course it just encouraged him to torment me. Of course, I say all of this "tongue in cheek". And really who wants the first stop on your honeymoon to be the carwash? Well, it was for many a poor sap who invited christian Garrett to his wedding. don't feel too special. LOL

Every Pentecostal that I know that has decided to embrace an ungodly lifestyle seems to lean toward this line of thinking now. And I'm not just talking about the homosexuals, but they are included in it. Obviously if you are living a lifestyle that is questionable, you would WANT to believe that everyone is already saved, and they just don't know it yet. I recently heard an ex-UPC guy preach this that most of you would know if I called his name. (BUT I won't!!).

An odd thing happened 4 of us preachers went to Indy to the PAW general conference(I said UPC but I remembered it was the PAW) I am a pre-tribber he started a fuss over the issue. We fussed about it all the way there the other two men agreed with him. He really enjoyed that we had a good time. On the way home I turned the tables and discussed wine or juice. We three were wine guys and he was juice. I will say this he had no reverse in his car.
