Question, if a new district is formed and it is decidedly UC as far as the board is concerned, could that lead to some more moderate UPCs being forced out?

A question can folks stay UPCI and form new districts?since I'm outside of the ark,I don't have a clue how stuff like that works?

Scott, there is a process where if enough pastors in a given geographical area desire to they can attempt to start a new district. This is what happened in Texas. Texas was in two districts before (Texas and Texaco) and now is split into three districts.

I don't remember the exact process but they petition HQ in St. Louis and from what I understand Bishop Haney has already given his blessing.

The interesting thing will be what happens to moderate or lib churches in the new ultra con district.

The ultra-cons will become more tolerant of those who don't believe exactly like them by necessity. They will have to if they are to survive financially: they just don't know that yet.

I thought "tolerant" and "ultra con" were mutually exclusive.
