So what's going on in all of your lives? My boys are headed to Soak City tomorrow with our youth group from church. Walt is home from the hospital. And VBS starts Sunday night. I know that will be a wonderful time!
oh ya, and we have a new pastor. He's very young (27), married and has 3 kids (ages 3 1/2, 1 1/2, and 2 months. I really like him alot!

I'm all for resurrecting Gabby's. I missed the morning chats.
We have three extra kids (ages 2-6) with us until Sunday. Their mom just gave birth to her fourth child a couple of days ago, and we're giving her a chance to get a little rest after being released from the hospital yesterday. We are having lots of fun with the kids, but I'm finding out just how old I feel after trying to keep up with them.
I've been doing volunteer work at our church thrift store for a couple of months now. It's a great way to meet and witness to new people. The money that comes in also helps in a lot of outreach projects and other things for the church.
Samantha made a last minute decision at the end of June that she wanted to get started in college this fall. So on June 28, we filed her financial aid info online just before midnight. (The deadline was June 30) Amazingly enough, there was still money available-- and she has been approved. She took her ACT at the college, and was accepted for admission. She received some scholarship money-- and will get loans on the rest for her first year. She moves into the dorms on August 15th. She will be attending Blue Mountain College. It's only about 45 minutes from home--and she could even still live at home and attend, but I think the whole living in the dorm experience will be a good experience for her. She's excited, and we're excited for her- but at the same time, it's hard to see her getting ready to move out.
We will start back with homeschooling for Kara & Michael on either the 17th or 24th. I'm leaning toward the 24th since we've been tied up with the extra kids and I haven't had a chance get all the things done that I'd planned on this week. I know this next week of getting things packed up and getting Sam moved over the weekend is going to be a stressful and exhausting time too, so I'll probably want a couple of days to recover.
Tonight there is a rodeo at the arena that is located behind our church campground, and I'll be working at the concession stand as usual. Proceeds from this go to help with the construction of the new church-- which is shown in the photo I posted earlier in the thread.
We've got a three night revival coming up August 16-18 with Bro Gordon Winslow, and I'm really looking forward to that.
The place where my husband is employed will be closing for a week of "mandatory vacation" the first week of September due to lack of work. His time off will be filled with things off the "Honey Do List". One thing will be for him to get the pantry finished in the kitchen.

He installed my new microwave above the stove last weekend. Just maybe he'll find enough time to get the new dishwasher installed too.

I'm not mentioning anything else until those things are done. I'd hate for him to feel overwhelmed-- he has no idea how long this list is. LOL
More later... gotta help with breakfast, I smell bacon cooking-- so they've started cooking already.
