Strawberries have thin skins and hold 80% of the pesticides that are sprayed on them. That's one thing I would never buy conventional.

Thanks for being kind and letting me share, Ron. I'll find some things I thought correct only to be wrong after more research, but we have to start somewhere.
We all have some info to share, I certainly do not everything, although at times I think I do--much to my detriment!

I do appreciate the research you do & firmly believe you are looking for what is right & what is true no matter where it takes you, & in matters of keeping the peace have seen you back away in order to maintain peace & unity.
I can respect that.

I never knew that with Strawberries & pesticides, I think most farms use them.

I always look to eat a little healthier (although I do like foods that taste good) like KFC, or Church's Chicken!

Mentioning cows made me think of Derek Edwards a Canadian comedian about his bit about Cows!

I use extra virgin olive oil almost exclusively. there are a very few exceptions and we will use some vegitable oil or another in those cases never with transfats (one of the BIG poisons out there).

I a heart healthy butter substitute as a spread and I believe it has canola in it.

I can completely understand not buying something that doesnt taste good to you.

that is why I am for a national ban on Bananas!

Thanks, Ron. You are always very respectful and kind. I can say that we have talked for several years via PM and e-mail, although not often in e-mail, and you have never one time overstepped yourself as a gentleman - I can respect that!

Some things I would not ever eat - KFC, Taco Bell or McDonalds. LOL!

And, yes, most farms that are not organic use pesticides. We are growing a little more this year and so I am checking on what natural things we can use for any pests.

very good quality, might even qualify as "organic" I just call it natural.

Lemosine is one of the leanest cattle breeds out there.

Ferd,
Purchase some organic bananas - totally different story. Apples as well! And Kiwi and oranges and grapefruit - so wonderful! LOL!

Glad you weren't bullying me on this post! I needed a break! That's okay, as saintly as my husband is, he's a bully too! I'm the only person he ever gets mad at and I don't know why!!!

Have you seen, I think it's - Red River - with John Wayne. They are complaining on the trail that they are eating beef again. I'm like, "You have to be kidding me. Who could ever get tired of local beef and on an open fire?!" LOL!

I hear there are places in Texas with barbecue beef & homemade recipes to die for!

I would love to visit Texas some day (and try some of those sinful foods) as well as see some AFF people!

Pressing, I have eaten Bananas in the jungles of south america where they have no capacity to get anything that would disqualify them from being organic.

I mean more organic than any "organic" item in any American grocery store.

they still taste like Bananas! YUCK! LOL!

Kiwi has more potasium and less sugar than bananas anyway eat them... better for you and taste great (even non-organic_ LOL~

and I aint gonna bully you. have a conversation and talk about it all yes, but no bulling... I promise.

I may pull a pony tail every once in a while....
