What about asking Jesus, or the Holy Ghost which supposedly lives inside of you about what to do?
1 John 2:27 "But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."

Good grief.

followingJesus and all the posters on AFF. I was just "talking to myself" (not blaming any of this on God!) and I've come to the conclusion, that if the Grace of God is not far more than any of us think it is, everybody on AFF is going to hell! OH! NO! there I go saying someone is going to hell. You see followingJesus may be right. We better get off of this forum according to the Bishop! We read this on a post and then we use it to benefit our own thinking. (You're going to hell! Did you hear me, you're going to hell!) NOT!
Now let me ask a question. This is what I was "talking to myself" about. How can people say so often, "God told me, God said to me, God impressed me, God moved on me," and yet he never moved, said, impressed or in amy way spoke to anyone else on the issue?" I was reading an earlier post about prepping and someone said "God impressed me!" Now if God really did that, (for such an important issue) why doesn't He impress the rest of us?
At least followingJesus said the Bishop told him, not Jesus!
I've said enough! I think I'll go back to talking to myself! Good talker and a good listener.

Perhaps THIS is his bishop?
(Just kidding. I am sure his bishop doesn't have that cool scepter!)

You're right, I guess FJ was just being honest.
And I do know people who "blame" all their decisions on Jesus too. There are equal numbers of people in churches, who either blame their decisions on their 'bishop' or the "Lord", especially if the decisions don't turn out exactly like they hoped they would.
It takes all kinds to make the world go round.
But, all of that aside... I do believe that the Spirit can and does speak to us, lead us and guide us. The true mark of the genuine leading of the Spirit will always produce the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.

Re: Where Are The Real Apostolics?
I firmly believe in the Oneness of God. I also believe that 2:38 is the Apostolic response to the Gopel.
However... I believe that the Apostolic movement needs a revelation of... grace. If the movement let go of their trivial, legalisic, worldly, adoration of an image that "used to be"... the movement would explode world wide unlike anything this world has seen.
I know that many wonder... "Then what would be the standard???" My friends... JESUS. Let Him be the standard. We are to "image" Christ. Be living extentions of Jesus. Loving God with all our being... and demonstrating that love by loving our neighbor as our own selves. Boom! No higher standard can be found.
Don't know why I felt like saying that... but it burned up inside of me. I had to let it out.
