Wore my toeless shoes today and my little piggies are a bit nippy now - - it didn't get as warm as they said it was going to.

Cold weather headed this way again this weekend......oh, well!

At least she's AT college though. Tiffany went to Jackson State in Savannah and lived at home. I had to learn to reset the boundaries for her as an adult, when I was so used to her having been my little girl for 18 years. All in all, I think we did well. She respected house rules, and I gave her adult liberty with new and updated expectations. Fortunately it was only a year before she married so we didn't clash much.

I've been wearing a toeless boot on my right foot ever since Dec. 17th when they did the foot surgery. Believe me, folks, if you need foot surgery and they tell you that you will be in a cast afterwards - schedule it for warmer weather!

Several years ago I broke my ankle on Thanksgiving Day and was put in a toeless cast. I had my pretty red polish on my toes so that they would look cute peeking out - until it snowed!!

Did you see my artwork I did for Christmas on my cast?

Now I don't have the hard cast anymore. Instead I have this removable contraption that's bigger and heavier than the hard cast ever was!!!! Booo!!!! But on the other hand, at least with this one, if it starts getting too tight (cuz my foot is swelled), I just reach down and loosen it up.

I feel your pain! I've had those walking casts and they are horrible!

High winds and rain are expected today, so I'm going to get out and do my shopping before that comes this way!

Going to Haute Mama to pick up a gift certificate for my DIL's birthday - it's a trendy maternity store, so I'm sure she'll find something to her liking there.

Drop by Lowe's to pick up four Arkansas fieldstone to place under my backyard gate - - it's a sea of mud right now, so it'll be perfect for laying a few stones in it.

Lunch with Sherri/Eddie and another couple.

Market for fresh fruits and veggies, then back home to do all the house stuff while it storms away.

I need to get off the internet and clean house. But I think I'm going to go explore a local hiking trail today if it isn't too terribly muddy. I have to find something to do outdoors-I'm going stir crazy!

Finally going to take my daughter to have her Senior pics taken. The photographer is excellent with outdoor pics and we've had delay after delay due to rain.

It's clear blue sky right now! Hopefully it will stay that way! We're headed to the OSU campus, so should have some really good shots.
