It was dumb to say the least.

Whomever would do that needs a refresher course in what is Godly. However, to imply that the only divisiveness is coming from the conservative camp is a grave error.
Additionally, I would suspect that the passing of the resolution will hurt the Missionaries much more than had it not passed by simple virtue of those that may leave. Again, I don't think too many are going to actually 'leave' but that remains to be seen.

Up until now I have pretty much stayed out of this current fray, I had a weird dream (for another thread) that scared me so I am staying low key.
But passing the resolution wasn't the issue, but what they believed about passing the resolution is the issue. If it wasn't Resolution 4 it would be something else, because these brethren have chosen a certain outlook, philosophy that determines their reaction to these isssues. Now that is the real battle, not the resolution.
As preachers we are always telling people that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spirits. How about these guys actually follow through and pick the right enemy and right battle.
And by the way my brother is not my enemy.

One of my disappointments with this thread is that questioning LB is wrong, but nothings been mentioned how wrong it was to judge another man's church by the way "it looks".
KP's church hasn't let down on Bibilical teachings - he still preaches Jesus name baptism and infiling of the Holy Ghost. Maybe he doesn't inforce made standards and to imply what LB did is wrong.
So this thread isn't just about speaking poorly of LB.

Thad, Thad, Thad.
1- you don't understand at ALL Ministerial Judicial Processes.
2- refer to point number 1
(I have more to say when I am back from vacation)

Last I checked America was still a free country with people who make the choices they want to...
I am tired of the blame game...I say let's just get on with the work of God and let the chips fall where they may...
God will be the final judge in the end...

I think Prax hit the nail on the head in an earlier post on this thread.
The issue is not Res #4, it's all about intolerance!
