No, but most guys with beards are filled with vanity and pride. Those are sins. Look at some posts in this thread and you'll see vanity and pride. Guys don't grow beards for functionality, they grow them for vanity. They keep them trim and neat out of vanity and pride.

In my opinion, I think this is why there is kind of a no beard rule, even if it's not preached.
It seems that the main reasons men wear beards are either out of laziness, pride, or vanity. Sometimes the beards are either scraggly, unkempt beards, or perfectly trimmed goatees, soul patches, etc. I even see the trend now where they have men straightening their beards with flat irons.
I never heard my preacher preach against beards or facial hair, but the men are usually clean shaven, or have a modest mustache.

thats a horribly constructed argument.
you've literally become the Pharisee smiting your breast, praying loudly that you thank God you arent like the bearded publican in the corner.
that accusation you made has literally no merit because you paint with a ginormous brush only presenting "evidence" of the few bearded people on the forum being "prideful" therefore it must apply to everyone with a beard.
There is NOTHING wrong with liking the way you look.
If I enjoy the fact that I have clean, white, cavity free straight teeth is that pride?
Should I stop brushing to save my soul from hell?
I know plenty of humble, non pretentious people with beards but according to your reasoning I must reject my knowledge and experience and stamp them as prideful because of facial hair.
Maybe people need to stop making silly non Biblical rules and trying to enforce them by shaming and threatening people into obedience.

So Jesus and the prophets were lazy proud and vain, eh?
Also, I notice that for you a man with an unkempt beard is lazy, but a man with a well-groomed beard is proud or vain?
Meanwhile, sisters are spending more time in the bathroom doing their hair than in the closet praying?
Please, let's just be modest and take care of ourselves, and quit judging people for things the Bible never says.

If I DON'T shave it takes two weeks to get a five o clock shadow. Gotta squint to see it, though.

Eh, not trying to start anything. Didn't mean to say that's the only reasons men wear beards, or that is true of all men everywhere.
And you are right about sisters spending so much time on their hair. All the misunderstood preaching about the hair being given to women as her "glory" seems to make women feel justified in doing up their hair in extravagant styles.
Just saying that, in all things, we need to be watchful of what we're doing and why we're doing them.
