What about the teaching itself? Epley is very sure of himself that all trinitarians, and even those who support trinitarians, are bound for hell. I guess I'll render an opinion here.

I believe that every person has a right to refuse medical treatment for themselves for any reason or no reason at all. I also believe that parents desires concerning their children should be taken into account, that they should be allowed to refuse to an extent. But in cases where death or permanent disability will result from curable illness, IT IS and I believe it should be, illegal for a parent to refuse treatment for a child. And in fact it is common for children to be removed to the state's custody for this. Of course there are exceptions, such as when heroic measures or dangerous treatments would have to be used but usually a multidisciplinary team discusses options and decisions are made by a group.

Ideas like separation of church and state have no bearing on protecting our helpless.

As a society we have decided that children and wives are not property. One can not kill them or even abuse them, not so everywhere in the world. This is an extension of that. Parents that withhold medical treatment from a child and cause that child's death should be prosecuted under the law and anyone that contributes to that should be legally accountable as well and go to prison.

If you truly know of cases where this has happened why are you posting about them here instead of calling the police, the district attorney and your congressman? Please keep in mind that in many cases it is a crime to knowingly conceal a crime, which is what you appear to be doing by not reporting this to authorities while admitting, in essence, that you 'know where the the bodies are buried'.

I find this incredibly disturbing!

Amazing that not a single solitary person has addressed the spiritual position of the truth or the falsity of such teaching. The response is always about something else, never the teaching itself. And you folks don't think such behavior is representative of a cult?
