Except that Ron, in referring to the previous post you cited by him, was simply saying he was referring to an abhorrent act, he heard about, albeit by way of a rumor, that shouldn't be in the church, but never mentioned church location, time or names.

I think you can address abhorrent sins without including the details. In his opinion, it wasn't the same thing. At least that is how I read it.

I do believe with our information age, any person in a head position better beware, it will be easier to out them. We just have to decide, for ourselves, whether or not we want to engage in the discussion when specifics are a part of that discussion.

I'm not concerned about the specifics, the situation was the same. When trying to discuss with Ron, he went quickly to the personal insults and "god will kill you" tactics, and when called out on it, he disappeared.

I missed his comments. Ron was more concerned about the vitrolic remarks about the ministry. I'm more concerned with the process of healing the hurting saints and how this thread and "inside" information does not help healing.

I don't think the situation was the same. He didn't specify any particular person's name, but went on to focus on the sin that was abhorrent - in the post you referenced from another thread.

It seemed he became irritated because you overlooked that. But, you didn't think you overlooked it, categorizing is at the same thing. It's clearly a difference of opinion.

As far as the scare tactics go, I have experienced them and I don't like them. Still we can't overlook the words in Hebrews 10:31, "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." I have seen havoc come down on individuals and families when they have come against truth. Note, I didn't say "the" Church, but mocking truth. And truth to me is the Gospel message and righteous living, not including traditions by an organization. The scripture also holds true in I Timothy 5:24, "Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after."

Anyway, I didn't think he disappeared suddenly. You can see that he mentioned twice he was done with the conversation. As noted by Prax. And on that issue, who doesn't post a few more comments before they decide the conversation isn't getting anywhere and there is no point for them to continue?

Where Ron made his mistake is coming here after so long being gone and whoopin' up on people for something he disagreed with. That never goes over well.

I couldn't agree more. I believe Ron is very hurt because of his past relationship with TB, but went about it the wrong way.

Hi PO, you got as do others, & it is fruitless to go on in the discussion when others do not get it.

I do believe with our information age, any person in a head position better beware, it will be easier to out them. We just have to decide, for ourselves, whether or not we want to engage in the discussion when specifics are a part of that discussion.
Yes, we are in the information age that is true, but God's word is timeless v& not restricted to the information age.
We don't need to tell God that he doesn't see the going's on of either Minister or Saint & I prefer to go the Bible way as I do not beleive in Calvinism where it is once saved always saved.
One can make God angry, it has happened before, is happening now & will happen again.

As far as the judgement of God goes, I have seen it with my own eyes, & have heard cases of it---just read the book, "Unseen Hands" every second page has the judgement of God going forth.

I am staying away not because I have been (falsely) called on it--but because some people are not listening.

Blessings on you & yours PO!
