Oh I definitely believe that the baby born of Mary was a man in every way, totally human and I believe that the fullness of God the Father dwelt in him.

Re: Apostolic But Not Believing Jesus is The Fathe

Sean, about this temptation business, James describes it best in James 1:12 - 16. Note verse 14, "every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust". For Jesus/God to have been tempted with sin, there would have FIRST had to be lust within Jesus/God. No lust, No temptation. When the devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness that temptation came from WITHOUT from satan, not from within Jesus who had no lust (sin). (1Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

James 1:16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

If a man follows you though the mall and says things to upset you in front of your family, are you tempted to hit him in your anger, or tested to hit him in your anger?

"Tempt" is more forceful of a word than "test"...it was put in the Bible for a reason. Dont try to change it bro. The 2 words are not interchangeable.

Do you enjoy rewording or paraphrasing the word "tempt" to make it into the word "test"? That is definitely not Biblical, but it is how mens' ideas get mixed into the unadulterated word of God to "reinvent" the actual biblical meanings....naughty naughty.
Look up the meaning of the Hebrew word tempt and Greek word tempt. And I noticed you once again did not respond to my points saying JESUS was acting as a man who would not tempt God. You can't avoid my points leaving them unanswered and go to something different all the time.

Good point, the Devil may not have been successful in getting God to sin, whether in the O.T. or the N.T. but he sure did try to get Him to sin by tempting him.

Consistent out of context references. God cannot be tempted because if something is not a temptation to a person the other did not actually tempt to begin with. "Your offers do not tempt me."

Howbout this.....Tempt and test are the same thing?...See how you have "minimized" the word TEMPT in the Bible to try to make an obscure point?

As if a "feelingless" God was not MAD at Israel in the O.T. when they "tempted" God in the wilderness. God was FURIOUS at them. God was not "tested", but He was "TEMPTED" as the BIBLE tells us Mike.

Notice the use of TEST as a noun and TEMPT as a verb. There is a difference in application Mike. Do you take a "TEMPT" in school?

Sean the Hebrew definition means test. You cannot go to an English dictionary when they are translating from Hebr. It means test. It tests our resolve and our character and faith and even Christianity when we are tempted. Just stop arguing with the dfefinitin and accept it. The Hebrew said it, not me. Lol. Phew.

Jesus as a man had lusts. Every human has lusts. We just do not fulfill them. We're tempted to, but we must not.

Sorry, I dont speak whatever Hebrew you found. I speak English. I know what the 2 words mean. You are clearly trying to change the demeanor of the word used there, and replace it with a LESSER meaning word.
The KJV translators used the correct word "tempt" in the O.T. AND the N.T.(GREEK)as a VERB(action word) to show the RAGE of the Lord against His people.

Psalms 78:56...
Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies:

.Ps 78....Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies:

Exodus 17:7 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

N.T.(GREEK)Heb 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

So you think that the Lord was FURIOUS at Israel for them presenting Him with some kind of TEST?

I guess the Lord hates taking tests???...LOL
