Does only the things mentioned in resolutions have merit? What about the issues in the overall scope of things? Haha. There is more in this world than the resolutions of a UPC general conference.

In the Apostolic movement those who seek to "control" also describe themselves as "consrvatives." Personally, to me that's an oxymoron (a "controling" conservative) but that's the way in which the debate has been framed.
Face it, liberals & Conservatives are guilty of it as well.

Yes Bro, they do have merit, but for the scope of the debate it is about Res 4.

I am bored!

However, people are missing the point with TV-at the very least it is a time waster!

Do you really want all those ads to come into your home?
Ad agencies have execs regularly make 6 figure salary's or more because they
know that ADVERTISING WORKS!

Now, we haven't even touched on the programs yet, but with two strikes against it---why do you still defend it??

It seems as if it is a "Godly Right" we need to justify?
Another "mantra" repeated but never proven. A Time Waster....How many of you have wasted time on AFF? How many kids waste time on the net chatting or playing games? How many men waste time looking at porn? There are valuable things to watch ON TV just as there are on the Net.

First of all if people don't want to look at ads, don't look at them. When you flip a magazine do you read the ads? Radio do you turn it off? Bill boards? Internet websites are full of ads..

Exactly...they not only ignore them they come up with claims that are assumed to be facts without proven it and we are all expected to just accept that it is true.

After spending billions of dollars you'd think someone would get a clue that only certain mediums work and stop spending money on the ones that don't work...Why don't we decide which out reach methods work the best and get rid of the others? Which is better? Door knocking or Internet advertisements?

BTW personal touch? ok, get rid of radio, get rid of magazines, newspapers and interent. Don't leave tracts anywhere or fliers. No more mailouts

Of course...who invented tracts anyways? That's not in the bible. No bible study charts either. good grief....these arguments are as lame as the stick guys and gals on bathroom doors proving women should wear dresses only

No, I'm just answering what you said about this one particular cartoon.

I still have never received an answer to my question; does Veggie Tales ever say the NAME of JESUS CHRIST?

In Jesus name

Name one liberal who said every church has to advertise on television. However the legalists wants to excercise their extra biblical beleifs on the entire organization. Who was behind res#3? Can't blame the libs for that one.
