Sequins, when you were in Chile before did you meet the Well's? They were missionaries there for many years. He was my former pastor many years ago.
If you are interested I can PM you the website for their son's church. He pastors in Miami now. I'm sure he'd be glad to advise you, especially if you are considering Santiago. That's where his wife is from. All of her family still lives there.

I'd love any info you could provide. I didn't meet him, to my knowledge.

In the early eighties I spent 2 weeks in Santiago working for the minister of highways. The people and the food are wonderful.
The wife and I will be returning for a vacation this March after leaving Br. and Sister Alvear in Brazil.
If I was not called to pastor here I would retire in Chile.
As far as churches go Br Alvear has a brother or uncle (not sure which) that pastors in Santiago.
Good luck if you do move and remember it's not oversees I'm
One could there.

You're technically correct...however, there is the Darien Gap at the bottom of Panama that is dangerous and has no roads going through. I've actually considered bussing it down to Santiago from Texas...still deciding on that. You have to catch either a boat or a plan to get from Panama to Colombia.

Re: Prayer for Guidance - Relocation Overseas
Long road the last few months...we've put our house up for sale now, as of Thursday. Pray it sells quick! We'll be staying in the vicinity for the time being, but we need to get the big stuff out of the way!
