Re: Upcoming Surgeries Feb. 28

Just talked to Renda a few minutes ago....

Renda said that the surgery went well. They did a block so that she would have only minimal pain for a couple of days. She is still a little groggy, but feeling okay.

She said to tell everyone that she loves them , and thanks for the prayers-- and to keep up the prayers for a quick recovery.

She's expecting Sherri to come by the hospital and visit soon-- so Sherri can update us again later after she sees her.

I'll call back late this evening to check on her again.

I will. Thanks Sherri!

Hubby and I just got back from the hospital. They have Jon on a double dose of morphine along with Lortab because the initial dose of morphine wasn't beginning to relieve his pain. He was beginning to get a little silly--- as well as a little groggy when hubby and I left the hospital. I pray he gets a good night's rest (if that's possible in the hospital).

Tamor told us to stick around a little longer and we'd get to know the real Jon. We thought it best to let her enjoy his drugged experience alone.

They are hoping that he will get to go home tomorrow. I'll keep in touch with Tamor and make sure she's taken care of while they are there.

Please continue to pray for Jon (and Tammy). She told me that it will be 4 more months before Jon can go back to work. Looks like it's going to be a long recovery time for this surgery. I know they would both greatly appreciate the prayers.

Re: Upcoming Surgeries Feb. 28

I heard from Tamor this morning... She said that Jon has not has any sleep at all since waking up from his surgery yesterday. She also said that he is in severe pain, and would appreciate prayer again today.

Are they able to give him something for pain?

Will remember him in prayer, being in post-op pain is no picnic!

Last night they were giving him a double dose of morphine drip-- and he had been given Lortab also.

I hope they have found something that will help the pain.

The last message that I received from Tamor, she said the pain had subsided some, and that he was breathing more evenly. She was hoping that he'd be able to drift off to sleep for a while. She hasn't had much rest either, and I know they are both exhausted.

I'm letting her send me messages first, because I don't want to make her cell phone beep and wake either of them up if they happen to be able to get a few minutes rest.

Tina, if you talk to them again, please tell them they are both in our prayers!
