Ahhh, confession is good for the soul, ain't it? (unless you lick bowls clean and put them into the cabinet without washing them first!)

Which reminds me....

My oldest brother had a "certain plate" he always ate out of. Well, he made me mad about something one time and it was my turn to wash dishes. (Bad time to make me mad). So, I took his "plate" and set it in the floor and let our dog lick it clean. Then, I promptly put his nice clean plate into the cabinet so he could use it the next day. Ahhh, whats a few dog germs between brothers!

God Bless!

I'm drinking from my saucer,

'cause my cup has overflowed

I've never made a fortune, and it's probably too late now.

But I don't worry about that much, I'm happy anyhow.

As I go along life's way, I'm reaping better than I sowed.

I'm drinking from my saucer, 'cause my cup has overflowed.

I haven't got a lot of riches, and sometimes the going's tough,

But I've got loving ones all around me and that makes me rich enough.

I thank God for his blessings, and the mercies he's bestowed.

I'm drinking from my saucer, 'cause my cup has overflowed.

I remember times when things went wrong, and my faith wore somewhat thin.

But all at once the dark clouds broke, and the sun peeped through again.

So Lord, help me not to gripe about the tough rows I have hoed.

I'm drinking from my saucer, 'cause my cup has overflowed.

If God gives me strength and courage, when the way grows steep and rough,

I'll not ask for other blessings, I'm already blessed enough.

And may I never be too busy to help others bear their load.

Then I'll keep drinking from my saucer, 'cause my cup has overflowed.
Thanks, Ron love the poem, did you write it?

BTW, Falla's and my Mom was the greatest hot cocoa maker in the world. Practice made perfect, and she had lotsa practice. I loved to get the cup where she had mixed the cocoa, sugar and a little milk, before pouring into the steaming pot of milk, tasted like liquid fudge.

Or, you can use a bowl instead of a saucer.
Pour a little of the hot coffee, tea, or whatever into the bowl and it will cool more quickly. Then, just drink it from the bowl. Before it is empty, add more hot drink to the bowl and it will cool faster.

Crakjak,

With snow in the forecast here in the Metro-plex tonight, some of

Momma's hot cocoa would be in order, wouldn't it!! Precious memories!

Did you flush first before you licked the bowl?
