This has been such a fight for me. When I think of Christianity/God/Church , I think of FEAR FEAR FEAR, and the constant whispering in my ear that I wasn't praying enough, reading the Bible enough, going to Church enough, Witnessing Enough. Nothing was ever enough. No matter how I tried I was never good enough or spiritual enough.
No wonder I was miserable!!!
I may be a big ol' heathen now, but as least I have some peace!

I WILL SAY THAT IF YOUR MIND WAS CONSTANTLY THINKING ABOUT those things then you were living out a gospel of works.
IF you are ever exposed to some of Luther's teaching -- Justified by faith -- it is not of our own but the gift of God. And you learn to not work it but just lean into it. YOU WILL NOT FEEL THIS PRESSURE.

No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?
