Ok, here's the scoop abput the Oprah show on Weds.
JAIA had sent in an essay on Sidney Poitier's new book to Oprah. Oprah's producers called her and invited her to participate in the dinner party that you all saw on tv. Last week, they called back and said that Sidney wanted only parents over the age of thirty on the panel. That knocked out five of the people that had been invited. As an alternative, Oprah invited all five to be at her live taping on Weds. They were asked to submit questions that they would like to ask on the show.
When JAIA and her dad arrived, she was 'miked up' and escorted to a seat right in front of Oprah in the middle section- her dad sat two sections above her. Unfortunatelt, they ran out of timne on the live show, and the rest will be on the After Show, shown on Oxygen on Saturday.
SHe enjoyed meeting Oprah- even my hubby enjoyed it!! LOL (and he can't stand Oprah) It was fun seeing how they tape three shows at one time- Oprah changed clothes four times while taping the segments- Sydney was not there. His segment was pre-taped in Los Angeles.
Hubby said Oprah was very chatty and personal during commercials- talking and laughing with all the guests.
No pics nor cell phones were allowed. I was disappointed. I wanted to see my kid and my handsome hubby on tv!!! LOL
JAIA loved it- had a blast, she said...
