Re: Anyone know Foreign Languages?

What would you say is the best source to learn another language?

I would love to learn Spanish and French.

I am Hispanic, so I can speak and understand spanish. My grandparents helped my Mom raise me so that was mostly what I heard growing up.

Most of the people on this forum are too holy to get that reference.

I did the Pimsleur Swahili course ($99) and I learned basic phrases, but I can only say those things that are actually on the CD's, such as,...."I would like two beers please". LOL!

I just bought Rosetta Stone's computer course for Swahili, so we will see. Everyone says it's the best, but it's also over $200, so we will see if it's worth it.

Rosetta Stone!

I had a friend use it, and the system works well.

LOL, yes, it's from Star Wars, the original. When I was a kid, they played that movie on HBO like twice a day. My brother and I most likely know all the dialogue of the entire movie.

Re: Anyone know Foreign Languages?

I'm kinda decent at Spanish. I read it better than I speak it though.

My bilingual Bible (King James/Reina Valera) has gone a long way toward helping me with my Spanish. I highly recommend a bilingual bible to anyone looking to learn or brush up on a foreign language.
