For those kinds of socialization opportunities for homeschooled children, all a parent has to do it take them to Walmart for the Black Friday or after Christmas sales events.

I made the STUPID, stupid, STUPID decision to take my children shopping for after-Christmas sales. (To the mall.) It wasn't so bad when we arrived, but when we left (read: TRIED to leave), it was a MADHOUSE. We were stuck in mall traffic for over an hour, people honking their horns, yelling at one another, ugh! It was awful. I will NOT do that again.

BUT...the kids got to see me remain relatively calm in the midst of a storm. (My mother was another story--she kept getting upset with me for letting people turn in front of me--LOL!!!!)
