By including the dress standards, etc. as part of being Pentecostal. Thinking that those who don't follow our standards, even if they've received the Holy Ghost, are not saved.
For instance, I was reading that old Dora the Explorer thread today, and it was said that the girl who did Dora was going to hell because her neckline was too low, and her skirt too short.

Certain groups think they have the franchise on the movement of the Holy Ghost. Anything outside of their rules is not genuine. The REAL Holy Ghost doesn't live in people that look or dress differently, have a different kind of worship service, or come under subjection to their authority.

I will simply do what God told me in prayer a week or so ago - "Do not focus on the confusion, I am building my church."

I agree with this post, and am concerned for the future of those with this attitude.

Re: Here's My Definition of "Apostolic Identity."
To many questioned definitions are being thrown out the window in saying what is dying what is changing and what is.... To many generalities in this post period. Truth is all that matters whether there is revival or not. What many call revival can just as well be a falling away... see early Christianity and Rome to start. Crowds and followings don't mean they are from God nor are they biblically right. All througout history it's been about the remnant not mainstream for the most part.

This one post uncovers the secret. For much too long power and authority has been understood to reside in the hands of a few, when Jesus proclaimed it for all.
What as caused the church as a whole to fail? It has no power, it does not exercise true spiritual authority (a pastor's religious edicts does not qualify). The churches of today are becoming all show and no substance. We might fool ourselves, but the younger generation can see right through the deception - even while enjoying the performance!
We have become a meeting of people with no real spiritual, Holy Ghost power! Where a "mere saint" can walk up to another, non-believer, and proclaim, "In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, rise up and walk."
Have done this lately? NO! My confession is that I am part of the problem, not part of the solution. But, perhaps my open confession will move others into challenging themselves to actually move out in faith, rather than in religious sounding platitudes.

Some people forget God is much bigger than their little box! He will come at some point sweeping with a great revival.

True, but the revival may be different than what we think. God does things his own way; not our way!
