We were more ticked than embarassed. Like I said, people's minds were in a different frame in those days.
We only had a "one holer." My uncle had a lot of children, he had a "three holer." Can you imagine today that you are sitting on the comode taking care of business and one or two more come in to do the same? You would say, "Y'all come on in."
Can you imagine that. One of you might say to the one sitting on the hole on the opposite end, "Mind kicking a few of those cobs over here?"
He might say, "No need, here are a few more pages of the old Sears and Roebuck catalog left," as he passes it down to you.
Aaaaah, those were the days....so innocent, so pure, so different by comparison.
I guess it gives us more reason to make Heaven. I don't think we can even conceive Adam and Eve being naked and not being aware.

My folks got married in the 40s and both received the Holy Ghost in the 40s. My dad accepted his call to preach in the 40s and my oldest sister was born in 1949 (I think maybe 1950)...
