Re: Is killing justifiable if done in self defense
Beak into my house, there's a serious possiblity that I will shoot you in both feet. Call the ambulance for you, help you to my couch elevate your feet, wrap it up myself while the authorities are on their way and read you Acts 2:1-38.

A lot of jews trusted God and Hitler sent 6 million of them to die in gas chambers.
if you stand by and let somebody get killed God will hold you responsible. You helped kill them. You are to stop the killer.I believe there is New Testament scripture to back this up.
look at the Apostle Paul, he held the coats of those that stoned Stephen.

No "feet" shots for me. Every one would be aimed right at the chest. Once I KNEW they were no longer a threat, that is when I would call 911 and proceed to see how they were doing.

One, "Amen", from the Far Right in the front row.

There was once a man who lived near Memphis. He lived in a terrible neighborhood and had guns to protect himself. One night he awoke to hear his door being kicked in. He took his daughter to the back bedroom and got his gun. When his bedroom door was being kicked in he opened fire to protect his daughter.
It was police. They went to the wrong address. He shot and killed police and was sent to death row for it. Now, I know he did not know it was police. He truly thought it was the drug-gangs, but he was ruled by fear and shot indiscriminately. How many of us are going to think rationally when people are breaking down our door?
I'm not for or against the personal owning of guns. I do not own one. We do however, have the constitutional right to bear arms. That right is in the process of being taken away from us at this posting.
I have mixed feelings about this, but I think that Aquilla has the correct approach spiritually. I would not want my safety or that of my family in either my hands or my husband's hands.

I think he thought pretty rationally. How often do or should the police make the mistake of busting into the wrong house? So I think the guy shouldn't have gotten anything out of it. Of course there are many possible informational additions to the story that would make me reconsider.
