Where did the hoodie come into play here? Did he say that TM matched the description of a previous burglar and bring the hoodie into that conversation? I'll have to re-read the police reports.

He isn't definitely certain of TM's color at the beginning of the Dispatch call, but goes on to describe his clothing:
Zimmerman: "Yea. A dark hoodie, like a grey hoodie, and either jeans or sweatpants and white tennis shoes. He's [unintelligible], he was just staring...
Dispatch: Okay, he's just walking around the area?
Zimmerman: ...looking at all the houses.
More than color, he profiled how he was dressed and how he was acting. I think they both go together. And really, it is a sensible assessment.

I honestly don't see that as "profiling" his clothing style. He seemed much more concerned with TM looking at all the houses and particularly with him acting like "he's on drugs or something." The clothing, IMO, was just a description. In fact, it wasn't until the dispatcher asked, "Did you see what he was wearing," that GZ answered, "Yeah, a dark hoodie, like a grey hoodie and either jeans or sweatpants and white tennis shoes. He’s here now and he’s just staring." The clothing description was given as an aside almost. I think he was actually profiling the tennis shoes! LOL

Don't tell me you don't evaluate situations as to whether or not they are dangerous or safe. We all do it every day.
When I lived in Houston as a single woman, I purchased a new car. I was weighing between the Z-28 and a Camero. Having known, at least, 5 people who had trouble with their Z-28's, I opted for the Camero. Never had a problem with that car and I owned it for 7 years. Did I profile the Z-28?

Huh? I am wondering why everyone is making a big deal about a non law enforcement person profiling another person? Its not against the law unless you are a cop.

Probably just me, but the clothing would have attracted my attention. Logically, GZ would have had to have reported a suspicious person before saying anything about what he was wearing.
It's good the way the conversation with the Dispatch played out, as you can't prove a Civil Rights issue with it. Because, like I have done, I assumed the suspicion involved more than TM's looking around. It's a no-brainer, but can't be proved in court.

Re: Obama Files Federal Charges Against Zimmerman
I wonder if the DOJ will pursue criminal charges against the MSM for deliberately editing the 911 tapes to make it appear it was racial thereby violating GZ's civil rights and the truth...
Actually I guess I don't wonder because I know they will never do that...
I hope GZ sues them for defamation.
Defamation: "Any intentional false communication, either written or spoken, that harms a person's reputation; decreases the respect, regard, or confidence in which a person is held; or induces disparaging, hostile, or disagreeable opinions or feelings against a person."
http://legal-dictionary.thefreedicti...com/defamation
It seems to me he has a case against the media outlet that did this.

Zimmerman already has a suit pending against NBC. I laughed when I read their response to it...it was basically "well, we weren't the only media who claimed Zimmerman was racist." But they were the only one who deliberately and quite maliciously edited the 911 call to make it sound racist. And for that, NBC should pay dearly.

I guess that since I live in a state that often has cold weather nine months per year, when I see someone wearing a hoodie, with or without the hood up, I consider it to be the norm around here. To me, it's no big deal. If it's cool weather, people typically wear a hoodie. My own children have several hoodies a piece, in just about every color. Seeing someone wearing a hoodie would never raise my suspicions. However, the person on the 7-11 video with the hoodie tied tight around his face DID raise my suspicions; so perhaps I *AM* a profiler after all. *shrugs*

That's an interesting perspective as I live in the south. Hadn't thought of that.
All over the MSM I am listening to black people saying their kids are not going to be safe. Why don't they talk about TM having time to get home and deciding not to? I haven't heard one person on MSM talk about that.
And no one will talk about TM's history, the things found on this phone. The problem that runs deeper than him not going home when he had time.
