i wouldn't say "advocate" so much as not prohibit, but again, gluten with the whole grain, not refined flour, which i would advocate against. And @ sugar, of course the less the better, but it is glycemic index that matters, imo, so why prohibit sugar if they are just going to run to white rice or refined flour? So i try to make people see that it is the glycemic uptake that causes insulin spikes, and how to moderate for that; either go burn it off immediately, or take sugar with a slow carb, etc. Actually the fast is a good way to stop sugar cravings, provided the gut is repaired afterward--you just lose the need for the quick fix of sugar. So i'd advocate for, essentially, losing the over-refining.
Which would include not considering corn or rice to be plants, but sugar sources.

Re: Health, Wellness, and Nutrition Thread
i notice that it is the sugar and refined flour addicts who have the hardest time fasting. The emotional spectrum is profound, and to say that it borders on a spiritual experience would be understating it, for many first-time fasters. It is literally exorcising a demon, for many people. Many people appear to be unable to fast, period. I mean not for a million bucks, for 3 days.
i'm persuaded that these people are addicted to sugar to feed their candida overgrowths, which a 3 day fast followed by probiotics does much to ameliorate. These same people also seem unable to sustain a "candida cleanse" for whatever reason--that usually being the digestive and other temporary upsets that go with them.

so hopefully "advocating sugar" is understood to be like 2 teaspoons in coffee or whatever, 3 or 4 times a day, maybe. Chugging hfcs all day in soda, or even fruit juice alone, are things i just don't do. So really, i am prolly as anti-"sugar" as you are.

Re: Health, Wellness, and Nutrition Thread
You see this subject is mostly focused on food because we usually eat sitting down.
What about exercise?
How many lift weights, ride bicycles, run, do calisthenics?
I think FlamingZword once posted that he works out eating kumquats?

I'm finally getting the man cave in order (my wife still thinks it's a "garage" - as if we were French or something, lol) so my weight set is going back into use.
Squats, deadlifts, overhead press, bench press, barbell curls or pull ups will be the order of the day.

You see this is the thing.
People must remember that eating properly is one thing, but exercise, especially lifting heavy is how to stay healthy.

Re: Health, Wellness, and Nutrition Thread
i might argue about "heavy lifting," but ya, exercise seems the only way to keep bone and muscle mass.

That's awesome! I love my "girls"... and they live a pretty good life here.
I haven't had ducks, although I am considering it. I've heard good things about having them.
Making homemade bread this morning with fresh ground wheat I actually don't eat much bread but my children like it, and I would far rather them eat my homemade, no added chemical bread than anything store-bought.

ya, O3 needs to dissolve in the gut to be absorbed anyway; needs to be enteric coated.
wish i could buy my eggs from you! most people selling eggs invariably get too many chickens, who all end up standing around in a dirt yard, waiting to get fed something out of a bag--at that point I'm not near as interested, even if the bag says "organic." Eggs from chickens on grass are worth like $6-8 a dozen, imo.
I've heard of Zaycon, and there are some others popping up, but haven't used any of them. Gotta be better than a grocery store, imo. What do you like about them? The prices look good!
And ya, we have a bullet, too, love it--i have super-smoothies frozen in summer, but this time of year i usually get on some whole-food vitamin. I'm back on Greens Today (organic frog) which i now get for $24 online, which is great after paying over $40 for it in Colorado. Makes for a bulletproof gut, but it's hard to get down at first so i rarely mention it.
Connecting with Anabaptists is usually how i get a lot of my food, but i'm in S Fla right now, and can't find any. Sounds like you got it good!

Yes, we really do live in a wonderful area. We are not too far from Wheat Montana and can go into their store and buy from them direct. You can also have their wheat shipped to you, I believe, from their website.
Zaycon chicken is incredibly awesome! I have never had such tasty chicken that doesn't shrink down to nothing after it is cooked. It retains its shape while cooking, there are no additives, and it is fresh, straight from the farmer. It comes in 40 pound packages which I package in meal size portions and freeze. Two 40-pound packages of their chicken lasts our family for about a year, because we supplement with our grass-fed beef, and venison. No pork, other than sometimes bacon for breakfast (my husband can't give up his bacon, lol!) I do highly recommend Zaycon.
I would love to sell my eggs to you, but south Florida is a bit far, lol!

Staying fit is not a one-size-fits-all program. While all those weights may be an excellent thing for you as a man to do, for a woman, the exercise program would and should look differently.
But adding weights to your exercise program is a good thing to build bone and muscle mass.

Just curious, you mention clients... what exactly are you doing to help people regain their health? Is it just a hobby, or do you have a brick-and-mortar place where people come for help?
Please expound on what your candida cleanse/probiotic regimen is after a 3-day fast. I'm curious
