Is it okay to tease people who believe in Santa Claus, when you know he doesn't exist? Do those people have "stronger convictions" because they believe in Santa Claus?

By the way, I might loosely fit the definition of self-righteous that was posted earlier:

Quote:
Self-righteous:

believing in own virtue: sure of the moral superiority of personal beliefs and actions, usually to an irritating degree.
I say that because I have not found anyone who knows better what to do in my own life than me.

But I am less of a hypocrite than most people I know, Pentecostal or not.

Define the terms how you like, Brad.

You and I are shouting at each other across the broad chasm that separates two vastly different paradigms, and sometimes the faint echoes we hear don't really resemble what the other party was trying to say.

Brad, one thing I have learned about people is that most of us are lousy at self-evaluation.

I don't know too many folks that think they are hypocrites.

Now I don't know you well enough to have a strong opinion about that aspect of you.

I imagine you pride yourself on being blunt and real and all that. Good for you.

Just remember that somebody somewhere probably sees you differently than you see yourself, lest you become too smug in your sterling honesty.

Some people have a little too much pride in their own humility as well... and that is reflected in most of their posts... so try not to be to proud of that...

I always heard: If you think you're humble - you're not.

I agree.

Who is saying they think they are humble?

Humility isn't thinking badly of yourself; it is not thinking of yourself at all.

It wasn't a quote directed at anyone in particular.....Just a Saturday morning thought to ponder before I head to the wonderful world of housework.
