So you're saying that just because this is the church that he attends, it is not necessarily the church that GOD wants him to attend?
I need to go back to the first post and check, but it seems to me that DaddiW is at this church because he really likes this pastor. Am I wrong? (believe me - that's happened before!! I HAVE been wrong )
If DaddiW is staying because he likes the pastor but this is not the church where God really wants him to be, then whether he pays his tithe or not doesn't really matter, does it, because he's already outside of the will of God by attending the wrong church, right?

I agree - except it doesn't matter if I trust the pastor with MY money. It's not MY money anyway. It's GOD's

The tithe never belonged to the storehouse... the tithe was BROUGHT to the storehouse and then was distributed according to the commandment of God.
You assertion here seems to be that the pastor is the storehouse... do you have any biblical reasoning for this assertion if this is, indeed, what you are asserting?

Very sound, DT.

Sure, except that if he is "misusing" the money then he is most likely not handing things correctly on a spiritual level either. So, then you are down to mistrust of both money and soul. JMHO.
I think that is a little different than some disgruntled saints worrying that he bought a new car, which is necessary.

Basically, I agree with the consensus of the responses of this thread. The tithe goes to the Church, and the pastor usually gets salary off of that tithe.

Besides, the rich guy could go to the megachurch and just blend in. He could just sit back and relax and enjoy the fruit of someone elses labor. Why be identified with the failure of the small church pastor? Far better to rub shoulders with a man who is extremely successful.
Small churches are all run by a bunch of wannabe preachers anyway. I think they should all close down and quit failing all the time. They would be much happier.
