Thanks everybody for the birthday wishes!
I had a great day! Emails and phone calls from friends ...... caards and gifts .... taken out for supper but the best thing of all ..... the highlight of my day ....... the best gift of all was getting to hear Bro. Mooney preach at the BC District campmeeting last night. What a treat!
I enjoyed the service so much and Bro. Mooney preached a simple but very effective message on the Holy Ghost. He was so funny and seemed so comfortable and at home there as did I.
Soon as we walked in just felt so comfortable and people and ministers were so friendly!
I had a chance to talk with Bro. Mooney just for a quick minute and I told him that it was my birthday and that getting to hear him preach last night was part of my birthday present -- the best gift I got!
I only heard him speak once before in person a number of years ago but that wasn't a whole message - just some sort of presentation, but I was very impressed with him then. I've watched webcasts online some and enjoyed those too but to get to hear him in a campmeeting atmosphere where he's laid back and relaxed was great!
