Recently many have appologized for their actions. We hold no ill feelings toward sthem as they did it in ignorant obedience to a paranoid pastor.

This kind of "disfellowship" is more prevalant in our ranks me thinks.
Sadly it could be the case........

That has never happened here. However if a person left for another church doctrine that might happen to prevent proselytizing.

For as long as I can remember I know of two families that this happened to. In one case the guy was openly calling other members and trying to persuade them against standards which was the pastors stand. The pastor felt this was divisive and disfellowshipped the man after warning and talking to him.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

When my father and mother first got married, they moved up north to find a job. There were no Apostolic churches in that town, so they attended a Church of God. They were 18 years old.

During testimony service one Sunday, dad got up and started preaching about the oneness of God and baptism in Jesus name! He was asked by the pastor to leave, and 30 other people left with him! That's when my father started the Apostolic church. By the time my father left that city 18 years later, they were regularly running 300+!

Praise God! Someone asked the question in the MM thread about why we haven't stood up and started preaching Jesus Name in trinitarian churches... You need to go find the post and put your dad's testimony out there!!!!

I have not been disfellowshipped though it was threatened by a pastors wife. I stuck up for a friend that was being accused of stupid stuff and she told me I could, "go to hell with them." Nice huh? Also, I have a friend on AFF that he and his family was disfellowshipped from that same church. That is the mode of that church. Do not agree with them or go against them, you are asked to leave. This is a UPC church and has been for 30+ years.

Oh, I agree completely! We have been disfellowshipped the way you have described a few years back.
