I don't think that the exodus of the ultra con faction will produce unity in the UPC.
Today's conservatives will be the ultra cons of the new UPC.
The liberals, who want far more than television advertising, will be emboldened to ask for more.
The removal of the prohibition on television advertising leaves television a non-issue in the UPC; the remaining prohibition against TV is a technicality that I think will be disregarded.
The men who have won this allowance from the ultra cons today will find themselves defending their positions on the traditional standards tomorrow.
The political process is a two edged sword.
This will not end the war of liberation - the struggle has just begun.
