Does this really surprise anyone? We have been talking about this for two years. VM has, in all actions, left the UPC a long time ago. He already has established separate meetings. This will allow for some who follow him to be united in their efforts and for those still staying in the UPC to be united in theirs. The "new" Western District will be a different landscape.

I was told to check out the 'Jeffers thread' with regards to equal respect... I read the entire thread and to be honest, unless I missed something, I think more was read into a question than was meant. I could be wrong, it's been known to happen before... However, don't mistreat one man because another has shown a lack of God's love by being racist.

And FTR, I think Bro. Morton is an honorable man who believes the One God, Apostolic, Holiness message with every single bone of his body. Perhaps his mannerisms offend some, but... 'blessed are they which love my law and NOTHING shall offend them.' Can't argue with that...

I responded regarding the tone of the posts and the obvious lack of respect for an elder... I was told to check out the Jeffers thread, which I dutifully did. I found nothing that correlated in the least, save some insinuations about OP being racist. Is he? I have no idea... don't know him.

But whatever was said about Jeffers wasn't spoken at VM's conference... it was an inference made by revrandy a few posts ago... that I should check it out... that's all...

The inference, If I am correct, had nothing to do with what VM said about someone else. RevR seemed to be saying that it's not just VM and the more conservative side that get's attacked, but also the Less Conservative side too

As I have repeatedly posted I think the disunity has been growing for years with the UPC being pulled in two different directions.

Those who are very conservative leaving will bring them unity and the UPC unity.

Finally, a chance to disagree with CC1.

I don't think that the exodus of the ultra con faction will produce unity in the UPC.

Today's conservatives will be the ultra cons of the new UPC.

The liberals, who want far more than television advertising, will be emboldened to ask for more.

The removal of the prohibition on television advertising leaves television a non-issue in the UPC; the remaining prohibition against TV is a technicality that I think will be disregarded.

The men who have won this allowance from the ultra cons today will find themselves defending their positions on the traditional standards tomorrow.

The political process is a two edged sword.

This will not end the war of liberation - the struggle has just begun.
