Re: AFF apostolic or not?
Aside from the "great" responses here, it's always good entertainment.
FYI, a good wool kilt takes 8 yds of fabric. THAT much fabric must be modest!

I KNOW I'm nuts. To "get into" with Prax and Pel, I have to be out of my mind. These guys are way out of my league.!!!

I know, right. I used to get them confused when I first started posting. Now I don't even try to post with Pel, but I love to pick on Prax. He was my first friend here. It took me a while to find out he had a sense of humor.

Re: AFF apostolic or not?
Holiness
HO'LINESS, n. [from holy.] The state of being holy; purity or integrity of moral character; freedom from sin; sanctity. Applied to the Supreme Being, holiness denotes perfect purity or integrity of moral character, one of his essential attributes.
Who is like thee, glorious in holiness? Exo 15.
1. Applied to human beings, holiness is purity of heart or dispositions; sanctified affections; piety; moral goodness, but not perfect.
We see piety and holiness ridiculed as morose singularities.
2. Sacredness; the state of any thing hallowed, or consecrated to God or to his worship; applied to churches or temples.
3. That which is separated to the service of God.
Israel was holiness unto the Lord. Jer 2.
4. A title of the pope, and formerly of the Greek emperors.

Re: AFF apostolic or not?
How are we declared righteous by anything that we do?
Does everybody know everything they are supposed to do when they first get baptized?
Are they still going to hell because they don't conform fully to a standard set by say UPC AA or WWPF?
So the new convert will go to Hell if he still wears shorts?

Re: AFF apostolic or not?
I believe in the process of sanctification of the Holy Spirit?
I remember a message going to hell for a dime! Yet I've known many a person that took a long time to learn or gain the understanding of Tithing. Were they unsaved until they began tithing.
Holiness is a state of being set apart for the Lords use. Are there any in here who no longer commit any sin because they adhere to a standard of their organization?

Re: AFF apostolic or not?
We preach condemnation so much people don't know if they are saved or not from one minute to the next. I am glad that I stumbled onto this forum and get to see the views of so many Apostolics. Yes I did say Apostolics. Even if you don't agree with me I know I am right anyway. lol
Jas 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Jas 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Re: AFF apostolic or not?
The thing we are all trying to do is discover truth. Truth is always self revealing. We cannot have falsehood or error and call it truth and then soon after find we are defending something so vehemently for so long that even when we find out it is false we cannot let anybody know that we were wrong in the first place.
