Yup. Lets just sweep it under the rug like it never happened. Another fine old time Pentecostal tradition!
What will be interesting is to see if his many years in the UPC and connections will get him a quickie "restoration" after a quick sit down of six months (usually reserved for the sons of Blue Blood UPC folks) or if the extended timeline of his moral failure will complicate that.
For once I would love to see one of these pastors who has been in sexual sin to voluntarily come forward and confess before seeking restoration. It seems they don't become repentant until they are caught.
In any case most of these Pastors of large Pentecostal churches have enough money and/or investment property and mutual funds to get by for a very long time. Not to mention the large financial settlement it is said he is seeking from the church. If I were the church I would give him nothing but a box to put his personal things in from his office. Who I feel sorry for is his family.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Really? Please don't make a mockery of the work of Christ on the cross. Has Terry Black asked the church for forgiveness? Has he even turned in his license to the UPC?
Until this happens, it is most definitely NOT under the blood.
God did not deal with this situation. Someone with access to details previously hidden did. It would have never come to light otherwise and he would have continued in gross immorality for another 15 years, all while preaching about the evils of Charismatics.

TB was a frequent Lee Stoneking sponsor. There is video of LS preaching his Holy Magic Hair message at TPC in which he proclaims the protective power of the long, uncut hair of the women at TPC.
I suppose that doctrine is smashed to smithereens.

This doctrine is not destroyed. Just because one man who agreed with it has fallen, it does not matter. If everyone who taught this failed, then it might possibly be argued, but this has not happened either. The teaching of long hair on women and short hair on men will continue, no matter who remains or falls.

Everyone is allowed to succeed except the pastor. If the pastor is successful, than he must be fleecing the flock.

,,,and yet you expect a pastor to pour out his life, time, passion, blood, sweat and tears for free!!!!
Sheeeeeesh!!!

Magic Hair Doctrine should be destroyed because it came from the belly of hell.

Did I say to sweep it under the rug? No. I did not. I just said people need to stop speculating and spreading lies. The original posting on this story, which you happened to post, was mostly a lie. If you don't know the truth, quit putting lies on this public forum that hurt already wounded people.
But I guess I would have to say hurt people, hurt people. You must be one that was hurt by an Apostolic church, so you seek some kind of retribution by making sure you make it public every negative thing that happens in an Apostolic church. While I don't think that things need to be "swept under the rug" or be kept secret, I do think that things like this have a tendency to make people who need salvation shy away from it. Bro. Black and his transgressions and sin are not a representation of the Apostolic church or TPC, but his actions could turn people away from God, citing hypocrisy in the church. THAT is why I think all of this needs to stop. We are not the only ones reading these forums. How do you know that what you have written on here hasn't caused a lost sheep to falter and turn away? Think on that.
