Me too...but it does not say the ALL went to hell, only those that had not had their names written in the book of life....

Will the little 4 year old girl that was run over by a car during my little league game as a kid, go straight to hell? (this must be dealt with)

ARP, you live in the Dark Ages. Your mindset is no different than those who burned innocent people at the stake, all because of an IDEA that cannot be validated or proven.

You cannot prove your dogma, and your little brain is coated with a lie bent strait from the heart of Religion, the same kind of Religion that allowed fanatics to murder Stephen.

The incorporated/affliated church has a business meeting, agrees on a code of conduct for THEMSELVES (bylaws) to operate in the business community and within the assembly. They choose to live by them. They pay the bills. You come along and because they don't change their governing rules for you, then you think they are all going to hell. Try that with the Baptist and see how it works for you,

As for the whiskers. Didn't say it was a sin, didn't say they could not come to church. But they could not be in any leadership role or be a member here. Down the road is a different story.
So the Church by laws are ok to be merely the ideas and preferences of men? Without Bible? Yes IMO this is devastating to the cause of Oneness and baptism in Jesus name.

Some of them might say "Now Jesus we will let you be a member of our "Apostolic Church" if you will shave that stuff off!"

Such preachers will give account on the day of judgment.

AR Pastor stated that the no beards rule has not been stated in church bylaws. Thus, I do not believe Abiding's post is applicable to this situation.

It sounds like he may be operating outside of stated bylaws by incorporating a requirement for membership that is not found anywhere in their legal papers.

Re: Question?

That is, unless the bylaws of the church state that the pastor may add any rules at anytime that he sees fit, even if they are not in the bylaws.

The bylaws just state that the individual must be living a holy separated life and following the teachings of the church.

Any new person added to the roister roll must be approved b y the pastor and add only by the pastor.

Such preacher will and if we see where it is leading in the wrong direction we are to warn the people. I believe that facial hair in our day still has connections with the rebellion of the 60's and is a pride issue with men, thus it is taught against.

We also teach against any jewelry including wedding rings some say we are wrong for that also but again that will not change. A individual wearing one may come (any one can come to church) but they will not be a member

So Jesus and the apostles had connections with rebellion and pride.

Beards are a source of rebellion and pride? Because of one decade of hippies?

AND YET......what about decades of suit wearers? You know, Politicians, Cosa Nostra, Hollywood actors and actresses? CIA? Used cars salesman?

And its the BEARD WEARERS that Apostolic Christians have to worry about?

Where is the burning "Apostolic" zeal about such a worldly practice! With such shady connections!

This is an absurd and ridiculous doctrine!
