It means eternal.

That means preterist do not have a right to eat of the Tree of life, because they dont believe it is real and teach others that it is not real.

They are simply calling Jesus a liar here(saying there is no tree to eat of like Jesus said) ....

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

The preterists will never see this tree folks, they are telling you it does not exist, therefore changing the Book of Revelations' clear meanings. They will never know whether it is real or not because they will be left behind.
They will not worry about folks not partaking of the tree there, because these "commentators" against the very words of Jesus will not be there to see it.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Folks, they are trying to steal(take away) your faith in the Tree of Life, clearly taught by Jesus Himself, that is waiting for you in heaven.
Dont let them...If you buy into it and teach it, you will be left behind also..Grace does not cover this anti-Tree of Life teaching you are seeing.

ok, who are these "folks?" And wadr, how do you know? No one here seems to be denying that there is a tree, after all; just how to interpret its composition. Also, i don't need to have faith in anything other than God, tyvm. To eat from the tree, one must overcome, and/or keep His commandments. So, who is adding to this book? i am not interested in your accusations or criticisms, wadr, ty.

So, we know that the Temple--by extension, the City? not sure--is built with Living Stones...

and we have some evidence that it is believers who manifest the tree. "Tree of Life" is a Title for Christ, isn't it?--or that may have just been inferred in some teaching i got, not sure there, either.

That exactly what you are doing...Jesus gives not even a hint that this is not a literal tree, it is some crazy(fearless of God) guy with a concordance that is saying it is not a literal tree.

Any Christian in their right mind must make their #1 goal to get to the Tree of Life. It is real as the nose on your face. If you miss it, you will perish.

Let NOBODY take your crown and talk you out of this endeavor!
