Well that's always an alternative take the victim posture.

From the woman in question's post she needs NO protection.

The Associated Press and MTV recently did an extensive survey with 1,280 young people between the ages 13-24. They asked them 100 questions about what in life makes them happy. Nearly three-quarters of young people said their relationship with their parents makes them happy. The leading answer as to who they considered to be their hero was answered as either their mom, dad, or both parents. But when it came to a person outside this circle the leading answer was Martin Luther King Jr. Now what is Martin known for? Uhm, his stance for civil rights. And how did he do this? With NONVIOLENCE! Who else campaigned for these rights? Malcom X. But who considers him a hero? What did he stand for? VIOLENCE! Seems the nonviolent win out even for 13-24 year old children! And what does the Bible say about out of the mouth of Babes?

GOd forbid someone ever threaten your family and you brush it off as not being important. I think God will hold you personally responsible if you allow someone to harm your family because you don't believe that protecting them is your highest calling as a husband and father.

No, she doesn't. Her husband does an excellent job of doing that himself.

I'd like you to prove that those children made that choice because MLKJ was non-violent.

Sister then why would a man (is he a preacher?) tell an individual to go to the house where his wife is waiting with a gun?

Was this man in Mississippi a sinner? Was that situation prior to LR and her husband’s conversion? Just trying to understand this godly attitude.

Actually I responded to him and saw that like you and L&F you were just repeating the same strawman arguments about how the bible speaks against retribution and I got tired of reminding the peanut gallery that we are not talking about retribution. Hows your left cheek brother? You thinking more clearly today?

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Sister, no one here has said anything about not protecting their family. No one! The question at hand is how that is to be done and what are the limits.

Also, do you really think a man's HIGHEST call is to PROTECT his family? Is THAt what the BOOK says?

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
