I say grace before I eat and I teach my daughters to do the same.

That might be a good idea, considering all yucky germs and viruses floating around...and handling the produce!!!

Re: Do you still say Grace before you eat????

As for praying in public...I don't think we should go out of our way to distract others or cause a scene, but I think its important to teach our children that we thank God for our food no matter who we are with or where we are.

Remember Daniel?

We were praying with a large group one time (holding hands), and the waitress had walked up in the middle of the prayer--when we were finished she had tears in her eyes. I don't think we should be embarrassed about thanking God for His blessings. It's one thing to be obnoxious, but its another to just simply be a Christian both in public and in private.

My mother told me that before i was born AD Urshan ran a revival at our church. He would say LONG Prayers and everyone had to join hands and sing "Victory in Jesus" before they could eat.

everyone is covered and they bring out thier grocery list of requests-*sigh*

Well... trust me, it's NOT because we believe sex to be nasty - nor want the girls to think that.

I guess it has alot to do with the fact that they are 4, 6, and 8 yrs old. While words like sex, sexy, vagina, penis are proper terms and should be comfortable with, they are not terms that we casually use.

...but that may just be me...

It's nice to know some of the old timers had issues too!
