Well sir, it appears that you have done a wonderful job. I would imagine that a lot of the credit belongs to the Holy Ghost as well.

TSTEW I agree that all married couples have to work at marriage these days.
Given my background of being raised in the south,I don't want any wrong feelings towards any of God's children.
To be honest racial issues are matters I struggle with sometimes.

My grandparents and such were good people but they had misconceptions about somethings ,and hearing things growing up alot of times get in your mind, and we have just have to unlearn things.

Like the old song goes I have a long way to go to be like The Lord.

I think that when you are dealing with honest good-hearted people, a lot of the struggle comes from lack of info and open communication.
Sometimes it appears that good people get so concerned about not being racist, that they overcompensate. They feel conflicted about having any negative feelings about any Black people. There are some Black people who give other Black people negative feelings, just as it is with any race. What I'm saying is that there is no law that you ought to be in love with every Black person or you are racist.
If you honestly judge people for who they are and what they do as individuals, and not by what color their skin is...feel free to dislike anyone .

I honestly feel like some of the people who I have dealt with in the past have used their "genuine concern" for the social plight of the interracial to mask their own discomfort with White/Black marriages specifically. Some of them did not raise the same concerns with the unions of other cultures. At the same time I do recognize the unique history of White/Black in America.
It has long been a regret of mine, that the church was not at the forefront of overcoming that history (particularly the Apostolic church, since we do claim to be the Church). I say that if two people are in love and the will of God...go for it. Their chances of making it can't be any worse than anybody else's these days.
I heard an old Black preacher in Pentecost say "don't call me Brother, if deep down you feel you are too good to call me Brother-in-Law, because Brother is a much more intimate relationship"
LOVE IT!!!:

Exactly. LOL!!! It's only the white/black unions that "concern" them. It would seem that if the cultural argument were the real issue, that it would be just as bad for a New Yorker to marry a Southerner. Come to think of it, that probably IS a bad idea!!!!

That's really good. I'm going to use that!

The Bible doesn't say interracial marriage is a sin,but interracial marriages in alot of places will have prejudices and cultural problems, and alot of times children in mixed marriages suffer from both sides.
But say to it's a sin ,I can't honestly say that.
As in any marriage people should not marry outside of the faith, and folks need to make sure they marry in God's will.
Bro. Hutchins, I wouldn't let cultural problems run the church, nor would I let them in the church.
God knows we try avoiding society's issues. Where's our sanctuary if we allow these abominations into our church or home?
My recommendation to the "Christian"anti-interracially challenged is to pray through. If he/she continues with that evil mindset, I'd kick him/her out of the church till they decide to become a REAL Christian!
I've heard garbage about "think what society thinks about interracial kids?"
My response is shut up and sit down. If males and females can have sex changes, and sing songs about how kissing the same sex is good, and be proud of it, my God, why can't some Pentecostals/Apostolics grow a backbone and take a stand?
My God, if these queers and lesbians can proudly withstand all opposition regarding their status, why can't we? Don't give me that junk about "what will society think."
Furthermore, if there are any anti-interracial marriage pastors, due to society or racism, and you're reading this, I suggest your spineless corpse steps down and let a real man of God take over.
Stop worrying what society will think and rather think about how you're violating God's will!
How you ask? What God has put together, let no man put asunder!
When you disapprove of two Holy Ghost filled individuals marrying because of their ethnicity, your in violation to the word of God!
Also, MOW, I applaud your acts regarding the interracial marriage, good job.
